CHRISTMAS .
THE INCARNATION.
WHEN GOD TOOK HIS FLESH FROM MARY
AND NOW HE SEEKS A PLACE TO DWELL.
"UNDER THE DOME OF YOUR BEING ...YOUR SACRED WOMB..."
(ST JOHN OF THE CROSS)
THIS IS THE WOMB OF OUR SOUL, THE DWELLING PLACE OF GOD, WHERE THE ALMIGHTY, THE DIVINE THREE BREATHE. THE BREATH OF FATHER BREATHES INTO SON THROUGH SPIRIT WHO BREATHES INTO OUR SOUL.
THIS BREATH OF GOD THAT ALLOWS US TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE INDWELLING THREE... AND WE BREATHE OUT A PROCLAMATION OF HIS GLORY...
"AND WE SHALL CALL HIM,
WONDER COUNSELLOR, MIGHTY GOD, ETERNAL FATHER,
PRINCE OF PEACE." (ISAIAH 9)
ST JOHN OF THE CROSS ADDRESSES US ON BEHALF OF MARY, OUR MOTHER, AT THIS HOLY CHRISTMAS TIME. WE HEAR HER AS SHE APPEALS TO US...
If you want, the Virgin will come walking down the road
pregnant with the holy, and say,
"I need shelter for the night,
please take me inside your heart, my time is so close."
Then, under the roof of your soul,
you will witness the sublime intimacy,
the divine, the Christ, taking birth forever,
as she grasps your hand for help,
for each of us is the midwife of God, each of us.
Yes there, under the dome of your being
does creation come into existence eternally,
through your womb, dear pilgrim – the sacred womb of your soul,
as God grasps our arms for help:
for each of us is his beloved servant, never far.
If you want, the Virgin will come walking down the street
pregnant with Light and sing.

ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous, wishing you a blessed Christmas, filled with God's holy joy.
DeleteThank you, Dear Sister in Carmel Anna, for this wonderful reflection on our mystical Saint. The Father of All Ages dwelling under the dome of my soul for all time. You have defined the true meaning of Christmas. Blessed and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteDear Sister Clare, In Proverbs I have read that God does not consider it of little import to find His delights with the children of men at a common table in the world. This past year, He has placed me in a chair beside you at His table. I've met Him in your words and in your Carmel charism. And He has shared His delight in you with me. I have been blessed.
DeleteIn prayer, in Him, and so, One, with you.
